What to Expect - The Older Newborn Experience
1. Booking Your Session
Older newborn sessions are perfect for capturing those beautiful first smiles, expressions and emerging personality. Once your session is booked, we’ll choose a date that works for you and your little one.
2. Pre-Session Consultation
Once booked, you’ll receive a comprehensive Older Newborn Session Guide with everything you need to know, including outfit styling tips and what to bring. If you have any questions, you’re always welcome to schedule a quick chat with me before your session.
3. Your Studio Experience
On the day of your session, you’ll arrive at my warm and inviting studio, designed to feel relaxed and comfortable. Sessions are 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to capture a beautiful mix of awake smiles, curious expressions and those gorgeous sleepy, curled-up moments.
4. Sneak Peeks & Gallery Delivery
I will share a sneak peek within a day or so, so you can enjoy a little preview of your images. Your full, carefully edited gallery will then be delivered within 2–3 weeks, filled with beautiful memories of this special stage.

What age is an Older Newborn Session for?
Older newborn sessions are perfect for babies who are past the traditional newborn stage, generally from around 8–12 weeks old. They're ideal for capturing those first smiles, expressions and little personalities.
How long does the session take?
Your Older Newborn Session is 1 hour, giving us plenty of time to capture a variety of images without rushing your little one.
What happens during an Older Newborn Session?
The session is relaxed and baby led. We capture a beautiful mix of awake, smiling, curious and sleepy moments (if bub allows), giving you the best of both worlds.
Can parents and siblings be included?
Absolutely! Parents, siblings and even your fur babies can be included in your session, along with beautiful individual portraits of your baby. It’s a wonderful way to capture this special stage for the whole family.
